Numb fingers and clawfeet.

So this is what it feels like to be able to sit back a bit and watch. The stucco guys have everything ready for the gray coat. The insulators are at the house as we speak.

Yesterday I finished covering and taping off our newly stained and sealed concrete floors. My fingers are so raw and numb from tearing duct tape and pressing it onto every corner along every wall.

I feel like we finally have completed all the hard work. Trust me I know we aren't done, but the big stuff is done. I am so excited to see it all come together. I can't wait for paint and cabinets!

I chose Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray for the main color throughout the house. Even though it says it's a "cool neutral" I think it's more of a warm gray.

The color that is two shades darker is what the exterior of my clawfoot bath tub is painted! I can't wait to get it installed! My obsession of clawfoot tub's and love of all things vintage began in my mother's childhood home. (below)

The tub used to scare me. I imagined it crawling away with me and my cousin's Tiffany, Cassity, and Candice inside! I remember being so small and the tub feeling so big! I have dreamt of having a clawfoot since then. I'm so lucky to have a husband that knew how special it was for me to have one.

The tub is tucked away at my mother in law's house just waiting. Oh how I wish I was soaking my sore numb fingers and toes in it now. Soon.
